Yamba Boarding Kennels & Cattery has been proudly owned and operated by Garry and Tina Downes since July 2000.

In addition to an on-call veterinarian, we have the combined experience of over 30 years of caring for domestic animals, so you may rest assured that your pet will receive a high standard of love, care and personal attention.

All pets must be vaccinated with C5 for dogs and F4 for cats.  

Proof of vaccination is required on the day of arrival. Unvaccinated pets, or those without proof of current vaccination will not be accepted.  

The cattery is located away from the dog kennels, so as to minimise noise and/or stress. It is surrounded by native gardens in order to provide a safe and relaxing environment.

Likewise, small and large dogs are housed in separate blocks in order for everyone to fully enjoy their stay.

Basic brushing is included in your daily tariff, but if your animal has a long coat which requires extra attention, please enquire about grooming fees when making your booking.

In accordance with state regulations to minimise unnecessary stress and/or excitement, we DO NOT allow people to visit their pets or take them out for daytrips. Once your baby is booked in, they are here with us until checkout time.

We ask customers to respect our drop-off and pickup times, so that all pets will have a quiet and enjoyable stay with us.

 We are pleased to announce that on the 15/12/07, our new dog kennels were completed. We are currently in the process of landscaping the surrounding gardens.

Stage one/A Block was completed as per the 1/09/07 deadline, with stage two/B Block ready for occupation one week ahead of the scheduled 22/12/07.

Stage one/A Block is 17 kennels (incl. 1 quarantine kennel).

Stage two/B Block is 14 kennels (incl. 1 isolation kennel).

Each individual kennel is between 8 metres (over 26ft) and 10 metres (almost 33ft) in length.

All 31 kennels are large enough to comfortably house at least 2 dogs. Every dog enjoys the luxury of "choice of environment", as each kennel has an indoor sleeping area, an outdoor shaded patio, and a full sun exercise run.
